Q: Need advice please: Which car should i buy? 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS or 2009 Honda Civic Coupe?
I'm gonna buy a new car. After i calculate my savings, i think i can afford 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS or 2009 Civic Coupe (cash). I prefer japanese instead of american manufacturer because the less fuel consumption and easy maintenance (i don't know much about car). Can you suggest which car should i bought? Or maybe you can suggest me another car around $20000 price range please...please....? Much appreciation for your advice, OMG i'm so excited coz i finally can afford to buy a REAL car with my own money (i was rollin with 1989 toyota LOL) :) @dmads20 No sir i'm not kidding. I asked my friends and they suggested me to get a japanese car (like i said i don't know much about car). I don't know about the Jetta, but impreza is a good car. Do you think i should get it? Isn't subaru a japanese manufacturer? @bratbrat... Thanks sir.... but i kinda need the car. I can't wait for another 6 months..... I hate riding with bus LOL @Stupid Flanders Thanks for the advice sir. But i'm not a speed addict.... LOL. I don't think Mazda Speed 3 and Subaru Impreza WRX engine potential will be fully explored by me. I'm driving like a snail... :D @Mayank - India Yes i have more in my saving :) Actually i can buy a Lexus but then i don't have much money left:( @Cedric Splodgebottom No kevin, i got a new job last week.......... Well paid. Thanks for your prayers :D

A: These would be my choices, in order: 1) MazdaSpeed 3 2) Subaru Impreza WRX 3) Honda Civic Si 4) VW GTI 5) Toyota Corolla XRS Not sure your age or driving record, but also check insurance rates before you buy. Many young drivers are surprised how much these vehicles cost to insure. Edit - Sorry....when you said the Corolla XRS, I assumed you were looking for a performance vehicle. The XRS only comes with a manual transmission and is modded for performance (gets worse mileage than a regular Corolla)....maybe a Corolla LE would be better suited for you? Also check out the Mazda 3, Subaru Impreza, Honda Civic, and even the Suzuki SX4. The latter may surprise you. Great price, great reliability and less expensive than the competition.

Q: Is the 2009 Toyota Corolla xrs a nice car.?
In a couple of years, when I get my license, I am going to have saved up about 25k, and I am wondering how the new fully blown Corollas are. I'd like reviews from people who have them. I already have my life planned until I'm like, 40, and I already know how much I will have for education. I am a tree hugger, but now global warming is irreversible, we'll never see the 22nd century.

A: In a couple of years the money you have saved will be much better put to use in continuing your education, rather than blowing it on something as outmoded and archaic as the Great Failed Experiment, the automobile. Rather than tying yourself to car payments, insurance, gas, oil, repair, maintenance, cleaning, and parking, why not move about your world with a regimen of walking and/or using public transportation? You will not only be saving thousands of dollars as well as the very planet you live on, but you will begin to look and feel much better right away! If your locale does not provide adequate public transit, speak up and insist on changes. The main objection people have to public transit is inconvenience. Work in your community to see that ALL areas are served with frequent, clean, and affordable bus and light-rail lines. We have seen the destruction the infernal combustion engine has done to the Earth---what about our bodies? Do you realize that the increase in lung cancer deaths concurrent with the rise in cigarette smoking ALSO coincides with the rise in automobile use? Save yourself while you are young---don't buy a car!

Q: 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS?
I am trying to find one with leather interior and for some reason I have yet to find one. Did they do away with the leather interior option? I know it shows it as an option on the S and XRS models. Yeah I guess you have to special order them when you want the leather. I would think they would have some leather ones available but so far haven't found one.

A: You'll probably have to special order the car. Go on Toyota.com and build an XRS with your zip code. If you can build it with leather, that region orders their cars with leather. If not, no such luck.

Q: 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS vs. Mazda 3 Sport GS?
heyy, k heres the deal, I'm planning on buying a car and narrowed it down to the Corolla XRS and Mazda 3 GS, i live in Canada so there both around the same price. I need help choosing. I have a family of 4, my wife and 2 kids. I plan on keeping the car for more than 10 years so reliability is a big issue! When i look for a car i look at reliability and price thats all usually. Please give me all the details on each car and which one would u buy. THANX A WHOLE LOT!!!!

A: Definately Corolla. Very reliable. Change the oil every 7,000 miles and that is about all you have to do. No problems. Great car.

Q: Is the 2009 toyota corolla xrs already out?? If it is...has any1 tried it??

A: Yes I drove the first one that came in to the dealer last week. It is nice and has a good pickup. I like the way they look to.

Q: Which car should I buy? 2009 Volkswagen Jetta SEL/ 2009 Mazda Mazda3 s Grand Touring/ 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS.?
I would like to compare the above 3 cars on the following: 1) Performance, Fun to drive 2) Quality 3) Reliability Please share your thoughts. Thanks. Thank you hamn, Hemsky. Your comments are really helpful. 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS: Horsepower: 158 @ 6,000 rpm Torque: 162 @ 4,000 rpm 2009 Mazda Mazda3 s Grand Touring: Horsepower: 156 @ 6,500 rpm Torque: 150 @ 4,500 rpm then why is Mazda3 considered to have better performance than Corolla XRS? Roughly what are the other factors that affect performance/acceleration/fun-to-drive factor? Thanks.

A: Fun To Drive: Jetta and the Mazda Reliability: Corolla Quality: Jetta It really comes down to how much your willing to spend throughout its lifetime. The Corolla is quite bland to drive, meaning that it isn' as fun as the other two cars, but it is quite reliable. The Mazda 3 is due for a remodel, releasing in 2010, so the car you buy now isn't going to have as much value when the new car comes out in a couple of months. The Jetta is a wonderful car- what drew me to the jetta was the safety that it provided, but i have to admit, the 80 dollar oil changes get tiring, especially in an economy like this, plus its really fun to drive, and the interior is top notch If you want a high quality car with luxurious features, i'd go for the Jetta, but if you want German Engineering, your going to pay the maintenance for it. The Mazda is a great car if your in the market for a sporty sedan, and don't mind driving an older body style when the next one comes out. And the Corolla is a good option if you just want something reliable. Good luck!

Q: Which looks betteR: 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS vs. Scion tC?

A: honda civic. aston martin is the most beautiful car in the world btw. listen, they both are ok lookin and i know scion is a part of toyota but if you just want a good, sturdy hassle free car to get from point A to B, stick with corolla.

Q: 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS VSC light flashing. Help!?
I got in my car after work and the VSC light was flashing (Vehicle Stability Control) It wasn't doing that on my way to work. There was some flooding on my road earlier that day and at most I think it was 3 inches deep, I went very slow through it. I was told that I could have ruined the sensor by going through the water. Also that it might cost $500-$800 to fix, is it even necessary? Could there be something else going on that I'm not aware of? What should I do? Thanks.

A: Now, at Auto Advance Parts used to Kragen Auto parts, they scan sensor diagnose for free why you don't stop and ask them for a test to see what wrong and which sensor?

Q: Do You Have A 2009 Toyota Corolla?
I need some help with this. I really dont like the Honda Civic, and my next choice was a 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS. I have heard pretty mixed reviews on them, so I was wondering. Do you have a Corolla? How do you like it? Do you have the JBL Audio System, and is it any good?

A: My wife has the 2008 model, and she likes it a lot. It gets very good gas mileage for not being a hybrid. The visibility is very good, it handles nicely, and is very comfortable. She got the sport version, which I highly recommend. I love the look and the moonroof is really cool. It's not a car that blows me away, but it is very efficient and runs well, at least thus far. Can't comment on the jbl system, sorry.

Q: 2009 Toyota Corolla S vs. XRS trim?
I'm planning on purchasing a 2009 Toyota Corolla. I have two questions: 1) I cannot decide between the S or the XRS trim. The only differences engine-wise are the liter capacity (1.8 for the S, 2.4 for the XRS) and 26 horsepower (132 for the S, 158 for the XRS). Both vehicles have 4-cylinder engines, and leather seats are available on both trims. Does anyone else know of any advantages/disadvantages of either? I would prefer information from current owners if possible. 2) I'm also wondering if automatic or manual transmission would serve me better? Both offer identical city/highway MPG, and the only advantage I can think of is that I've heard that automatics tend to be more reliable because they don't suffer from operator errors. Thoughts? Also, The XRS has a 5-speed AT, while the S has a 4-speed AT. Does this matter? Also, The XRS has a 5-speed AT, while the S has a 4-speed AT. Does this matter? Also, The XRS has a 5-speed AT, while the S has a 4-speed AT. Does this matter? Haha. Sorry about that...

A: well, the carolla is a pretty boring car to drive. you might as well go for the xrs to make it a bit more entertaining. it still won't handle well, and the interior will still be dull, but at least it will be a bit more powerful. yes, a 5 speed is much more desirable because it usually yields a higher top speed, and quicker acceleration because the gear ratios are better. but personally i wouldn't even get a carolla. look into the subaru impreza. it has 4wd grip, it handles exceptionally, and the engine is very nippy. plus, it can come in hatchback form for added practicality. and because it's a subaru, it will run for hundreds of thousands of miles without any problems just like the toyota will. but if for whatever reason you absolutely must have the carolla, get the xrs to make a dull car a bit more interesting. but please consider the impreza too if you didn't already look into it. i guarantee that once you test drive it, you'll love it. whatever your decision, good luck! EDIT: what you heard about automatics are false. manuals are much more reliable, are more fun, and if you shift correctly, will yield better mpg. if you live in a city and plan to be stuck in traffic a lot, don't get the manual though. it could ware out your leg pushing down on the clutch while being stationary. make sure the clutch is light before buying it. good luck once more!

Q: WWhich car do you think is better out of the 2009 Volkswagen Golf GTI MK6 or the 2009 Toyota Corolla S and XRS?
which car would people on the street look at the most which car looks cooler and you will rather be seen with which car do you now think is better Thank you alot for answering

A: Is this a Joke? VW GTI is 100 times cooler, much faster, handles much better, comes with more features, will turn more heads and much more powerful. I would never buy a Toyota because they make some of the worlds most boring and ugly cars with no power or good acceleration.

Q: how much would you pay for a 2009 Toyota corolla?
How much would you spend for a toyota corolla xrs???

A: Seeing as the MSRP is $19,500......that's probably close to what people are going to pay for it. I personally wouldn't pay more than $3000, for that waste of metal, but that's just me.

Q: Toyota Corolla Owners?
I am looking into a 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS. I took the car for a nice long test drive and from what I could see, it seems like a nice car. I was just curious to know owners feedback about this car. How is the durability? Is it really a soft ride? Does it make any noise? How would you rate it overall 1-10 as 10 being the best? How do you think it drives in rainy and snowy conditions? Please tell me your insight about this car, either for it or against it. It would help me a whole lot. Thanks all!!! =)

A: This probably won't help you much, but I have a 1993 Corolla with 260,000 miles. It runs great.

Q: Should I get the Toyota Corolla S or the Toyota Corolla XRS? And another question inside for 09 corolla owners?
Which trim is better? My friends said the XRS is more fun to drive but that the S is more fuel efficient. I have an SUV so anything would be more fuel efficient...I know one comes with 4 spd automatic and the other witha 5spd and they pretty much look the same so which one is actually the better model? I also have a question for any of the 2009 corolla owners...On the left hand side of the drivers seat...behind the steering wheel over close to the door and the window controlls...is there a small cubby that drops down like in past models or did they do away with that? I know it has a dual glove box but I was wondering if they kept the little drop box over to the left of the drivers side just above where the hood of car popper button thing was... Thanks everyone!

A: To answer your mini-cubby question - they do still have a little mini coin glove box on the left knee area of the driver. As for the S vs XRS... I gotta admit, the S adds NO fun to the corolla, only looks. The meager engine in the stock corolla's is so balls slow, it's almost dangerous. 0-60 in what feels like an eternity. My friend owns one, and I rented one for 3 weeks. If I were to buy a corolla, I would DEFINITELY go for the XRS, not only for the power, but it's the only corolla that is offered with leather seats and 17" alloys. So right there, you have a winner. The S looks nice, probably even is nicer than the normal corolla, but without the engine upgrade I would consider it a poser-car. XRS - spend the extra $2,000!! It'll be well worth it, and you'll get respect for it too!

Q: Which 2009 Toyota Corolla comes with push button engine Start?
Im confused, i've been trying to figure out which has push button start (S,XRS,LE,XLE), or if all of them don't/ Which package should i take to get the push button engine start, along with bluetooth, rear spoiler, skirting,moon-roof , 5 speed Auto transmission, 17 inc alloy wheels,6 disc cd changer, power windows etc( THESE ARE IMPORTANT FEATURES I WOULD LIKE) Thanks

A: youll have all those feautures in an xrs corolla , all but the push start that is not an option on that model if you wan push start get a camry xle, or hybrid or avalon limited but those are more expensive
