Q: How come the bass on the rear right-hand speaker of my 2009 Toyota Corolla S sounds like static?
I have had my 2009 Toyota Corolla S since February 2009 and it was packaged with a JBL sound system. I am not sure if it has been doing this since I got it, but I just noticed it making that sound just recently. Is there anything I can do with the dealer to get this problem fixed or do I have to have it checked out elsewhere?

A: might of blown the speaker.. try to pop the over off see if its cracked

Q: What is in the door of a 2009 Toyota Corolla?
I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla sport and it was broken into recently. They cut a slot into the driver's door down in the corner. It looks like something is in there, does anybody have a clue what the point was? They broke the passenger window but never opened the passenger door (still had glass in the door jam). Any websites would be great too Thank you

A: maybe they put a remote bomb in it

Q: What rims to get for white 2009 Toyota Corolla?
I have a white 2009 Toyota Corolla LE, and will be getting new rims for my tires. What style would be best matched for the car? (# spokes, color, finish, etc.)

A: a hot trend now is going with the white on black look, but i personally don't like it unless you black your head and tail lights. You can't go wrong with 5 or 6 spoke chrome rims, but if you want to stand out there are some gold (matte finished not shiny) rims on ebay. 18's are probably the biggest recommended for your car

Q: Would it be better to purchase a new 2009 Toyota Corolla or a used 2009 Toyota Camry?
The dealership wants to much for a new Camry but said we could get a used 2009 Camry with around 9000 miles on it. Which would be the better deal. Any advice, anything would be appreciated.

A: Both cars are nice - but make sure you're getting similar option packages. A basic corolla has way less stuff than a basic 4cyl camry. Therefore you must compare a corolla LE with a camry CE and a corolla XLE with a camry LE and probably a corolla SRX with a camry XLE (and even that isnt a fair comparison). I would note there is a size difference also. Depending on if you're a single person, or a couple, or a family. I would use that to determine camry/corolla. Obviously the camry is slightly larger and has more trunk space. So if building a family in the next 5 years is something you are considering, probably smart to buy the camry. That being said, the corolla gets about 5mpg better highway/city milage. If you're on a tight budget and you worry that gas prices are going to increase, I would stick with the more efficient vehicle. Currently I have 2 friends that own 2009 Corolla CE/LE and both are very happy with their purcheses. Since both are toyota's I would almost guarantee they have top notch reliability and will drive for 15+ years. My 1996 camry has 270,000miles on it and I still use it as my daily driver. 9000 miles is nothing in the grad scheme of things. The car is practically new. If I was in your spot, I would probably not get a CE camry. However, if an LE camry or XLE camry was the same price as a new corolla, I think I'd be foolish not to get the bigger "better" car. Plus new cars tend to have higher insurance.

Q: "What are the current "secret" factory-to-dealer rebates/incentives on the 2009 toyota corolla?
i want to buy a new toyota. can anyone help me with getting a cheaper price?

A: Edmunds.com will show you. They will post the current factory-to-dealer, plus factory-to-customer incentives. USUALLY, though, Corollas don't get factory-to-dealer due to demand. They simply do not need to provide one.

Q: What kind oil should I use in my 2009 Toyota Corolla?
10w30? 10w40? 10w50? I live in Southern California, and drive about 10,000 miles a year. It has 12,000 miles on it. Also, would it be good to use 100% synthetic in my car?

A: 5W30 or 10W30 is fine. Besides, the manufacturer recommends 5W30 but the deler will tell you that 10W30 is okay too. Do you change your oil every 3,000 miles? If so, spending the extra money on synthetic won't make any difference on your car unless you drive it hard. IMO, the only reasons to use synthetic are if you drive your car hard or you go a long time between oil changes. 100% synthetic is good but it's not necessary.

Q: is my 2009 Toyota corolla 1.8L front right lower control arm compartible with any other earlier years? ?
Also, is it hard to replace it? I'm planning to do it myself and then take it to have it professionally aligned. I hit a curb and the shop told me the lower control arm bent, and that i might as well replace the ball joint, even though my car only has 2500 miles. Should i replace with brand new arm, or can i get a 10000 miles used one?

A: no it is not compartible. the 09 corolla is ALL NEW for 09. why are you replacing your control arms???? did you get in an accident?

Q: Whats the cost for title/registration and license for a 2008 AND a 2009 Toyota corolla?
I am looking into purchasing a new car and want to know the total cost before i walk into a dealership... Can anyone give me the cost that i will be looking at for the title registration and license costs?

A: Hi, look up your local DMV in the phonebook and call them or look online to see what the fees would be for a vehicle like the Corolla. The fees will not change for any dealership you go to, they are set by the state. A good plan is to take about 20% down, or at least $1500-2000. Financing almost all the vehicle and the taxes will increase your interest rate. In other words, you will get a lower rate when less is financed, no matter where you get the financing. Good luck.

Q: Does anyone know how many miles I can drive my 2009 Toyota Corolla LE before the engine breaks down?
I bought it 2 months ago with 5 miles and as of today, it has 10,735 miles.

A: That is pretty much impossible to answer with a real number. Historically, Toyotas have been extremely reliable, but lately they've been suffering. Mechanically, they're still sound. As long as it's well-maintained, it will last as long as you want it to.

Q: does the throttle of a 2009 toyota corolla the same as the pruis?
i wanna know so i can buy this new corrola, but because of all the recall on the pruis im not surre.

A: There is no recall for the throttle on the Prius. Only floormats. There is a recall on the Corolla and Vibe, but they will already have been handled on any new car before it is sold.

Q: how do i reset the tire pressure in my 2009 toyota corolla?
we just bought the car and it had no manual so can you help please! NO NO THE TIRE LIGHT IS ON you know the light that says's you have low tire pressure with the new models it lets you make a set pressure and when it dips below this level the light goes off and when you fill it you restest it HOW DO YOU DO THAT.

A: The standard is 220 (metric) or about 30 (for countries still using the old unit for pressure). To ensure enough pressure, check the pressure, using the pressure gauge ( a small measuring device, available in accessories shop, just remove the cap of the tire valve and insert the gauge in). Another way is to drive up to the air pump point of the petrol station (please ensure the car is not in use over 6 hours over the night). Good to check pressure in the morning and do it once a wheel. Set the pressure to above, release some pressure from the tire (if U are worry of over inflated) and proceed to pump up your tire to the set pressure. That simple! Happy driving :D

Q: 2009 Toyota Corolla or 2008 Chevy Cobalt?
I am about to buy either a 2009 Toyota Corolla or a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Which one is better?

Q: After how many Kilometers, engine oil of Toyota Corolla 2009,must be changed?Shell,Caltex etc how much it runs?
I have toyota Corolla 2009. i am always confused about the OIL CHANGE, some of friends says that if you are using good quality oil like from Shell, Caltex etc, you must change it after 2000 to 2500 KMs, while some advise to change after 4000 or more. I am confused, Do you have authentic information? Please share it

A: i have seen that toyota had recomended every 7,000 "miles" toyota's are prone to oil sluge (oil gel is toyotas prefered name). and people who change at every 3000 miles still experience this and need new engines. so you are speaking in kilometers(much less) so those numbers you list should be fine. so change the oil on the more frequent end if you can afford, and you should be fine. now these newer models are not on toyota's excepted list, as well as many other models with the problems that are denied. so its better to be safe than sorry. one more very important thing... MOST IMPORTANT! with toyota's you want to make sure you have these oil changes done by a TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND YOU WILL WANT TO KEEP ALL RECIEPTS. when things go wrong with toyota's, the company likes to blame owner abuse. by having the dealership do all maintenace it is more costly, but you better protect yourself. for your own good, please have them do the maintenace so they can not give you excusses if, or when somthing should go wrong. goodluck.
