Q: Is there a way to reset factory stereo on 2007 Toyota Corolla?
I removed my factory stereo to install USA Spec PA15-TOY, but now my cd player will not accept any disk. The PA15-TOY works great! I just can't listen to cd's now. When I was removing the factory stereo I accidentally pulled out the face place. I had a cd already in the stereo at the time, and it would not come out. I had to manually remove this cd, and now it will not accept any cd's. Any help please.

A: Unhook the car battery for 30 minutes, it will reset itself.

Q: how much oil do I need to buy for my 2007 toyota corolla?
Also, what kind of synthetic oil for it? And could I buy it cheaper on-line?

A: You only need to buy 4 quarts for a Corolla and it doesn't take it all. Put in 3 quarts, turn the engine over, and then bring it up to the full mark on your dipstick. Be sure to change the oil filter, too. Use 5 - 30 weight oil for the best economy; heavier oil increases the viscosity in the engine before the engine gets to operating temperature. Considering the price of oil and the disposal of the old oil, look for specials at local dealers. I get mine changed for about $17, only a few dollars more than the cost of the oil and filter.

Q: Can I self-program transponder key for 2007 Toyota Corolla?
Hi- I have an 07 Corolla with only 1 original key. Can I use one of the blanks off eBay and program it using one of the pedal dance manuevers? If not, any thoughts on how to do it without using the dealer? Thanks!!

A: the only way to program it is to take it to the dealer. they have to use there scan tool to program it, also good luck on the E-bay keys a lot of times those keys are not the correct keys for the car they say they fit.

I am wanting to spice up my corolla a little and thought about adding rims. I dont need nothing like spinners or anything to blingy and fancy, just someting with a little chrome and style. What am I looking at?

A: Depends on Style....Pep Boys has rims starting around $500 but can go up very fast.

I know that there is one in front of the transmission, but if there's 2, where is the other one? I don't know if there is 1 or 2 of them.

A: I would check inside the center counsle because they like to hide them in the dumbest places.

Q: How do you get your headlight to turn off on a 2007 Toyota Corolla?
Everytime I start the car, they automatically go on, and I cant turn them off. I didnt only mean at daytime..nightime too, and sometimes you want to keep your car on but headlights off and you cant. its annoying.

A: Those are called daytime running lights. They are on during the day for safety. They are a separate bulb or a low power on the headlight. These may save you from getting run into sometime. They are made to run all the time during the day and when the regular headlights are not on..........UJN

Q: Why does my 2007 Toyota Corolla only get 20 mpg?
It only has 14,500 miles on it.

A: I think maybe you are not calculating how to correctly compute the mpg bec our 1998 Sienna XLE minivan that was brought brand new and came from the factory with a standard extra 300 lb towing package has 101,000 miles and it gets 18 to 20 mpg city and during recent out of state highway trips of 600 miles one-way cruising like 10 miles over speed limit at 70 to 80, I actually got 25 mph. Also my wife drives a 2005 Highlander 6 cylinder All Wheel Drive SUV and she gets 16 to 18 mpg as she and her sisters insisted on 4 wheel drive SUV's for safety reasons so we ended up giving away 1993 Camry LE Sedan (don't ask and keep quiet about gas mileage? when they have to fill up at the pump). In fact I recently rented a 2007 Ford E-250 Cargo Van that had a huge V-8 engine and was listed at 12 mpg to drive from Northern VA to Atlanta GA and return trip...and first was surprised when the rental car/truck agency said to return it where the gas gauge was reading at 3/4 tank bec my first fillup for the 1/4 tank at local Costco Wholesale where gas was selling $3.619 per gallon was $33.00 for 8.8 gallons, and almost completely empty tank in South Carolina, 25 gallons at 3.650 per gallon costs me OUCH $92.50 but guess what I actually got over 16 mpg driving at 70 to 80 only bec I couldn't think about driving conservatively in view that I had family & friends waiting/standing by to help load/unload. GAS MILEAGE: Toyotas come with your odometer reading and 2 other resets. The way I was always taught was when filling up your gas tank to full, use one of your trip resets to record the mileage and reset it to zero by holding or pressing down... then the next time you purchase gasoline, you likewise fillup your gas to a full tank like before. Then take the total miles show on the TRIP reading and divide by the total gallons to include all decimals, and this is your mpg... Hope the Above Info Helps but only 20 mpg might be true or close to it if you all your driving is city from one stop light to another, just sitting and running your engine waiting for the traffic signal to go through its cycle. If that's the case bec you only have 14,500 miles, I might SUGGEST you think twice when starting out in the morning and how far you drive, bec our 2 earlier Toyotas (we have owned 5 from brand new) were Corollas and my wife's Corolla LE she bought brand new and drove less than 5 miles each way from home to work, well that is not far enough to burn out all the condensation in the exhaust system so in less than 2 years, she needed a brand new Toyota muffler...whereas our last 3 Toyotas have all had their original muffler including a 12 year old 1993 Toyota Camry LE with over 211,000 miles and when we let our oldest son drive my wife's Corolla LE in college and I can't tell you exactly how many mufflers Toyota replaced in those 4 years...

Q: What are some cool things to modify a 2007 toyota corolla with?
tired of having a mom car...please help lol -shannon

A: sorry, there's not much that can help a corolla. Toyota Racing Development (TRD) makes a # of things that won't hurt your warrant. they make lowering kits, cold air intakes, exhausts, rims, faux carbon inserts, new pedals and shifters, and even a supercharger for the car if memory serves.
