Q: I have a Toyota Corolla 2006. How can I use the TEXT function?
I read the manual and it said that it will display the track title, track number, then track time. However, if the compact disc does not contain text data, "NO TITLE" will appear on the display. I'm burning a CD for my car, so how could i add "text data" into the CD? It is a 2006 Toyota Corolla LE Model. (and according to the manual, i have a "Type 1" radio)

A: Check your CD burning software (particularly the CD burning options area) if it supports use of CD-TEXT. Also, look through your retail CDs to find one that already has CD-TEXT on it, and try it in your car's CD player, to see if it will actually display or not. (Not all "store-bought" audio CDs will have CD-TEXT support.)

Q: Can you mod a 2006 toyota corolla s to make it relatively fast and cool?
I am turning 16 soon and I am most likely going to get my mom's 2006 toyota corolla s. I want to know how to make it more sporty and fast..

A: Learn how to drive safely and responsibly first. After that, you can start with a cold air intake kit and header and free flow exhaust.then eventually turbo charge it.Get your windows tinted and after that you can start looking at wheels and tires. There are all kinds of body kits available for that car.You could start out with a front bumper kit to make room for the inter-cooler later on down the road.Suspension always improves handling,so you'll need that. That Corolla S is a pretty nice car there and you'll have a lot of fun making it better. It'll cost money and take time but it'll be worth it.Learn all you can about doing your own work to save money.Go to the strips and meet people and get input from them.If you're a car guy ,like me,you have a lot to look forward to!Please keep your racing on the track, okay?Have fun!Check these sites out:http://www.ilovebodykits.com/model/Toyota/Corolla.html One more thing:Thank your mom.Nice car.

I have checked the parts for both cars and I found at auto zone that the pontiac GT 2006 parts where cheaper than the Toyota corolla 2006 . So does thtat make it cheaper to fix a 2006 pontiac if the parts are cheaper?

A: no usually more sporty cars are more expensive but it all depends on the part

Q: does a 2006 toyota corolla have a cover to access the ring gear?
got a cracked flywheel on a 2006 corolla and want to weld it back together,or at least pin it together but don't know if theres access to it via a bottom cover, any ideas?

A: I don't thinks so with out pulling them apart. I would be hesitant to do what you suggest, as fly wheels spray shrapnel when they disintegrate, this is not something that I want my gonads to experience. I want to keep mine in tact, don't you? Please for your safety and those of your passengers (not to mention innocent parties), please replace that flywheel.

Q: Does a 2006 Toyota Corolla need to have the timing belt changed at 30K?
I just bought a new car (2006 Toyota Corolla) and I was wondering if I need to have the timing belt changed at 30K?

A: NO..... THERE IS NO TIMING BELT ON AN 06 COROLLA IT IS A TIMING CHAIN AND THAT WILL PROBABLY NEVER GET REPLACED

Q: 87 or 89 Octane for my 2006 Toyota Corolla?
I have used 89 Octane since I bought my brand new Toyota Corolla in 2006. I am thinking about switching to 87 Octane. Will this switch hurt my car, or engine or anthing bad would happen to my car? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

A: stay with 87 the 89 is doing nothing but costing you more at the pump, there is no real difference that your car will notice in the gas, heck you might get better mileage with the 87 Thats what it was designed to run on

Q: What is the socket size for a 2006 Toyota Corolla belt tension pulley?
I'm trying to change the serpentine belt on my 06 Toyota Corolla. I don't seem to have the right size/type socket for the tension pulley. I believe that it is a torx socket (Or female star socket) but I'm not sure. Anyone have any idea what the correct socket is for said car? I can't fix it under warranty as I have 50,000 miles on it already (yes, I drive a ton. 160 miles round trip just to go to work).

A: it takes a 19mm socket not a torx. and the other guy is right as long it is under 3years or 36k it is still under warranty

Q: 2006 Toyota Corolla, Can you turn off headlights manually?
I have an 06 Corolla and the headlights come on automatically, which is great. Sometimes though, I am waiting for my kids to come out of practice at night and it's cold so I want to leave the car running, but I want the lights off so they don't shine in anyone else's car. I can't find a way to shut off the lights with out turning off the engine. Does anyone know a way to do this?

A: the easiest way to do this if you don't want to cut wires is turn the car off, pull the key out, pull the emergency brake and turn car back on. there is another way to have it permanently off and you would have to manually turn them on. it requires cutting and taping off one(1) wire. if you want to do this, do a search for "disable headlights" on www.9thgencorolla.com. there are pictures for you to see so you wouldn't have any problems knowing which to cut.

Q: what are the things inside the trunk of a 2006 toyota corolla that cover the taillight wires called?
where to buy them online ? will schuks or napa auto stores have them? i don't want to go to toyota for them.

A: They are probably called rear trim panels or something similar. It's not likely NAPA or other stores like that will have trim pieces. You might get lucky and find some your color in a junk yard or on eBay.

Q: Trying to buy a 2005, or 2006 Toyota Corolla straight from the company in Illinois. Where?
I went to see a used car the other day and the guy told me bought the car straight from the company, he said this Corolla came off a Toyota Lease and he purchases cash. You save plenty of money, how can I contact the company or where do I go, I also want to buy and avoid high dealer prices. I live in Illinois, if someone knows that is great, thanks. This also might be a car auction, I am not sure.

A: You need a dealer license to buy directly from the company.

Q: Toyota 2006 Corolla hesitates when stepping on the accelerator?
The Corolla hesitates when stepping on the accelerator. It seems that the peddle goes down 25% of the way before the car takes off. No check engin light on the dash. Would this be a linkage problem or transmission? What should I look for?

A: Its not a performace car, Its an ecomomy car. The steering isn't quick. there is no feedback in the wheel. but then again you can get 30 MPG so there has to be some compromise. Nothing is wrong with your car they are like that when they are new. If you think thats bad go test drive a yaris. then the corolla will feel like an M3. http://www.epinions.com/auto-review-5D4E-22C3AC2-3896CD6C-prod2
